Plz & Thanksgiving Weekend

As 2010 wraps up and we take our second to last step towards Judgment Day, we would like to thank everyone who has supported us and given us hope this year. We rounded out last year by getting our equipment stolen and sitting on our record. This year, we had the fortune of having Ice Age Records releasing the album on cassette, and the added fortune of being one of Death To False Hope Records' early releases. And upon its release, we didn't catch wind of a single negative review. The people behind the scenes of our band were instrumental in us being able to book our first major legs of touring, and even some incredible weekends on the road. So thank you to Kris, Scotty, Sloane, C French, all the new friends we have made, and all you people who let us invade your headpiece and living space. And thank you to all the people at the Hipster House, Dingus House, The Hexagon and The Showzin for putting on those awesome shows. Every single band we played with was incredible! Probably even the ones we had to miss because we were behind schedule

2010: A Pictorial Odyssey

Sunday, November 07, 2010

The year's coming to a close, and it's one that gave us a taste of some success. At least the way we measure it. We released an album, witnessed the tearing down of a Frank Lloyd Wright house, got to see NYC, Denver, Pittsburgh, Columbus, drove straight through Nebraska, made a ton of friends, and pretty much broke even. Hopefully we don't get jinxed 2011

November

Sunday, October 31, 2010

First off, thanks to Waterworks and everyone who came out to their first show. Chicago is very lucky to have a DIY venue in the loop. Everyone there was stoked on not only that but the show itself.

Awesome line up, BFFs

From Here To Infirmary

This month we have a few things planned already. On Friday, November 19th, we will be going to DePaul to perform a few acoustic songs, and also to hang out and answer some questions. Then, the following weekend, after we all eat massive amounts of shit, celebrate the harvest and thank everyone a million times, we will be heading out on a mini-tour once again, this time to Rockford, Minneapolis and the Quad Cities, which are all home to some of our best friends on this planet. America.

More things might pop up, but we also go to school, and some of us even have shit-paying jobs or no job, so fuck you.

Why You'd Want To Live Here

Tuesday, October 05, 2010

Newcity Music has written an article about the underground emo revival in the United States, and specifically Chicago. Lots of our friends make up the main bulk of the article, and we're happy to have our name dropped in there too. We really need a press photo.

Sweet, Thanks

Tuesday, September 28, 2010

This weekend we were faced with a dilemma: Which movie is better, Total Recall or Robocop? I think the answer's obvious. Thanks to our bros Sweet Talk for being with us all weekend, and helping us buy a new tire for Thrash Vandicoot, get him towed twice, and played to a grand total of 50 people, over 90% of which were at the Sunday show. More pics to come when Kris gets his shit together. These were our last shows until Thanksgiving weekend when we will be heading out to Rockford, Minneapolis and the Quad Cities for a few more laughs. Keep it in your pants until then, friend.

Summer's Over

Thursday, September 16, 2010

Here's some footage from our May and August tours as well as part of Warren's July tour that I was on for a bit. This summer we finally got to see the pains of our labors years pay off as we went around the country, from Long Island, NY to Denver, CO, making new friends, meeting new people, and getting our minds blown. This time next year, we will have moved to Boulder, CO and turned into a Dave Matthews cover band.

A huge thanks to everyone who helped make our summer the best ever! Also thanks to the "cast" of this "video" for being there with us!

I can't remember if I posted this or not, but I don't think I did. So this prolific-as-hell blog Circling The Drain reviewed our album.

These guys play a relaxed, and somewhat familiar sound that brings back good emo music like The Promise Ring and good indie music like Dinosaur Jr.

New Review of Mind Yr P's & Q's

A new review of our album has been posted at Bankrupt On Selling, a new blog by an old friend. Check out the full review here!

The Please & Thank Yous play with such energy and such emotion that it's hard not to like them. Their sound is much more distinguished.
